Attach an image to an estimate

1. On the top left of the estimate, click the Images icon. The Images window appears.
2. On the Digital Images window, click the Load Images button. The window appears.
3. On your computer, locate the image that you want to attach to the estimate.
4. Select the image, and click Open. The image appears in the Digital Images window.

  You can select multiple images during this step.

5. Type a name and description for the image.

Export an image from the estimate

1. On the top left of the estimate, click the Images icon. The Digital Images window appears.
2. On the Digital Images window, click the Export button. The Save As window will appear.
3. Select the location that you want to save your image to.
4. Click Save.

Edit an image

1. Click the Images icon on the top left of the estimate. The Images window appears.
2. On the Digital Images window, click the Edit button at the top. The Edit window will appear.
3. In the Edit window, you can add, remove and adjust annotations, as well as rotate your images.

Add annotations to an image

1. Open the estimate that contains the image you want to annotate.
2. Click the Images icon. The Digital Images window appears.
3. On the Digital Images window, double-click the image that you want to annotate.
4. Annotate the image. You can add arrows, lines, text, ellipses, rectangles, or text; you can also flip or rotate the image.

Set annotation defaults for images

1. On the Digital Images window, click the Settings icon.
2. In the Annotation Defaults group, set defaults for text font style, text size, shape thickness, shape stroke, and opacity.
3. Click the arrow to return to the images.

Add images to Sketch

1. On the bottom left of the Sketch Pane, click Images. The attached images appear.

Images need to be attached to your estimate in order for them to appear in the Sketch Image tab.

2. Click the image that you want to add and drag it to where you want to place it on the Sketch workspace.  The Digital Images window appears.
3. Add any additional information (text, annotations, etc.) on this window.
4. Close the window.

Acceptable image file types: .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG.

Set a default Taken By for images

1. On the Digital Images window, click Settings .
2. In the Image Defaults group, in the Taken By box, type the default Taken By name.
3. Click the arrow to return to the images.

Delete an image from an estimate

1. Open the estimate from which you want to remove the image.
2. On the top left corner of the estimate, click the image icon. The Digital Images window appears.
3. In the Estimate Images group, select the image that you want to delete.
4. Click the Delete Selected button.
5. Click Yes on the confirmation window. The image is removed from the estimate.

Use Notes to add a photo to a line item

1. On the Estimate Items tab or the XactContents tab, select a line item.
2. Press F9 on your keyboard.
3. Select Image from the left drop-down menu.
4. Click Load on the bottom right corner.
5. Select the picture that you want to attach to the line item.
6. Click Open.
7. The photo is now attached to the note. You can change the Image Name and also include a description in the text box.
8. When you are finished, click Close. The note with the photo is now attached to the line item.
