Create your Xactware ID

To access Xactimate, you need to create an Xactware ID. With an Xactware ID, you can use your email address to access Xactimate products and services, eliminating the need to manage multiple User IDs.

1. Visit Xactware.com/xid/.
2. Select your region.
3. Click create one now.
4. Complete the form and click Create Xactware ID.
5. You will receive a verification email. Click the link in the email to confirm your email address and activate your Xactware ID.

Change your Xactware ID password

To change your password in Xactimate:

1. Click the Xactimate tab, and click Tools.
2. Under Services, click Change Password.
3. Type your Xactware ID and Password, and click Login.
4. Click Password and Security.
5. Type a new password and confirm it.

To change your password at Xactware.com:

1. Visit Xactware.com/xid/.
2. Select your region and log in.
3. Click Password and Security.
4. Type a new password and confirm it.

Run Xactimate Online

1. Visit www.Xactimate.com in your browser.
2. Type your Xactware ID and Password, and click Login.

• Xactimate online will only run with Microsoft Silverlight installed and activated. If Microsoft Silverlight is not installed, you will be prompted to install it. Click Click now to install in the Silverlight dialog box.

Upgrade/Install Xactimate 28 (Desktop)

1. Before installing Xactimate 28, you may wish to back up your previous Xactimate data.

2. Download Xactimate 28 from Xactware.

3. Open the install file. After the file unzips, select a language and click OK.

4. Read and accept the License Agreement. Click Next.

5. Select the Install type. Click Next.

6. Type your Product Key Code.

7. If you don't have an XactNet address, select I don't have an existing XactNet address. You can create an XactNet address after installation.

8. If you already have an XactNet address, select I already have an XactNet address and want to recover it

   1. Type your email address, and click Request an email with Security Codes.

   2. Within a few minutes, Xactware will send you an email with a security code. Retrieve the security code, return to the Xactimate Installation dialog box, and enter the security code.

   3. Click Next.

9. Select Express or Advanced. The Advanced install allows you to select which profiles will be installed. Express installs all the profiles made available by your key code.

10. Click Next, and follow the prompts to complete your setup.
