SUBGROUPS

In Sketch, you can designate a structure as a subgroup of another structure. This allows you to treat a group of rooms as a single room for the purpose of adding line items. For example a closet is often designated as a subgroup of a bedroom. When you add carpeting to the bedroom, it is also added to the closet.

  1. On the Sketch workspace, select the structure you want to designate as a subgroup of another structure.
  2. Click the Properties icon to open the Properties dialog box.
  3. Click the Subgroup Of list, and select a structure.
  4. Click anywhere on the Sketch workspace to close the Properties dialog box and save your changes.
