Add doors
- On the sketch ribbon, click the Doorway list arrow . Select Standard,
and ensure Flush is selected.
- Click the east wall of the Bathroom, 4'
3"
(interior dimension) from the north wall. The center of the door will
appear where you click. To adjust door placement, you may click and
drag or press Ctrl + Arrow key.
- With the door selected, click Properties
.
- Set the Width to 2' 6"
and the Door Swing to Left Hand.
- Click anywhere in the Sketch workspace to close the Properties
window and save your changes.
- Using the same method, but leaving the Door Swing as Right
Hand, place doors in the following locations:
- The north wall of the Bathroom, 5'
2"
(interior dimension) from the Hall.
- The east wall of the Bedroom, 3'
10"
(interior dimension) from the south wall.
- The south wall of the Hall, 2’
(interior dimension) from the Bathroom. Change the Width to 3’.
- Click the door between the Bathroom and Bedroom. Then click Flip Vertical and Flip
Horizontal.
Holding
Ctrl retains a sketch tool on
your cursor, allowing the same tool to be used several times in a row.
Add closet doors
- Press D on your keyboard,
or click Doorway in the Sketch
Ribbon.
- Move your cursor over the wall between the Bedroom and Closet until
it is 9"
from the north wall.
- Click and drag along the wall until the door is 6'
wide.
- Select the door, and click Properties
.
- Under Style, set Door type to Sliding.
- Click anywhere on the Sketch workspace to close the Properties
window and save your changes.
Add windows
- On the sketch ribbon, click the Window list arrow . Select Hung.
- Click on the north wall of the Bedroom, 4'
6"
(interior dimension) from the west wall.
- Click Properties .
- Change the width to 3' 6",
the height to 4',
and the base height to 2' 4".
- Click anywhere on the Sketch workspace to close the Properties
window and save your changes.
- Copy and paste the window onto the north wall of the Bedroom, 11'
6"
from the west wall.
- Paste a window on the west wall of the Bedroom, 7'
from the north wall.
- Paste another window on the north wall of the Kitchen, 6'
from the Closet.
- Click and drag the right red diamond of the window until it is
4'
wide.
- Set the window height to 4' 6"
and the base height to 2'.
- Copy and paste this new window in the following locations:
- The north wall of the Kitchen, 6'
from the east wall.
- The south wall of the Living Room,
5'
from the Hall.
- The east wall of the Living Room,
4’ 6”
from the Kitchen.
Add a bay window
- On the sketch ribbon, click the Window list arrow . Select Bay.
- Position the window so that it is approximately centered on the
east wall of the Kitchen.
- Click to place the window.
- Drag the north wall of the bay window until the wide end of the
window is 9'
and the narrow end is 6' 8".
- If extending the bay window removes the north window from the bay,
do the following:
- Click the south window of the bay and press Ctrl-C.
- Press Ctrl-V and click the north wall of
the bay.
- Highlight the east window of the bay and press Ctrl
+ Down arrow until the window
is centered.
